Smoked Fennel Amaro Daiquiri
A refreshing, herbal sour classic gets a split base build with a smoked vegetal lift.
It’s no secret that Amaro’s quick rise to popularity would eventually find itself as a base ingredient in cocktails. This herbal, vegetal & dank like profile gives a true Italian Amaro daiquiri version with the addition of Washington DC’s Don Ciccio Fennel liqueur. The base Amaro of our choosing was Cappelletti’s Sfumato Rabarbaro, a smoked rhubarb infusion that influences more earth & smoke tasting notes.
Smoked Fennel Amaro Daiquiri
.75 oz Amaro Sfumato Rabarbaro
.75 oz El Dorado Rum 5 yr Old Cask Aged Demerara
.75 oz lime juice
.5 oz Demerara syrup
.25 oz Don Ciccio Finocchietto Liqueur (Fennel liqueur)
build in a shaker tin, add ice, shake and double strain into a coupe. Garnish with a lime wheel.
